So as I shared before, I’ve been in the entrepreneurship world for a very long time.
Does it mean that every day I wake up, I am happy and giddy about being an entrepreneur? Absolutely not. But do I know one thing for sure? No one can pay me as much as Cynthia can pay herself. Let me say it again, “no one can pay me as much as I can pay myself.”
What do I mean by that? I mean that every day, I have the opportunity to create new streams of income, new opportunities that are going to result in deposits. And as an entrepreneur, that is your number one job.
When you wake up in the morning, if you are just waiting for something to happen, if you are waiting for a client to magically call you, you’re not an entrepreneur, you’re a salaried employee sitting at home, hoping someone pays you.
An entrepreneur is someone that wakes up every morning and thinks about creative ways to make income.
I’ll give you an example. When I first started in the business, I was a realtor as well as doing a whole bunch of other things to make income. I have hosted speed dating events, it was a way to meet people, a way to get my name out there, a way to work on my number one skill which was introducing myself to people and hosting events.
Hosting events is a little bit like helping clients. You have to make sure people are comfortable, you have to make sure people get what they need, and you’re the director of the show.
Number two, how else did I make income? I worked with other people. I humbled myself. I put myself in a position where I worked for a small amount for other successful people in the business, and that way, I was able to learn from them.
So if you’re not willing to take the risk or even take the step back to learn, how will you see yourself moving forward in this business? It’s very difficult but it can be absolutely rewarding.
