Honoring Juneteenth in New York City

June 19 2023

Let’s be real: Property ownership can vary greatly depending on various factors, such as socioeconomic status, location, access to information, and individual circumstances. 🔴

In New York City:

  • Homeownership is 34% for Black households. (2021)
  • 23.8% of the current population of New York City is African-American (2022)
  • The ever-increasing cost of raising a family in New York is one of the reasons that propels black families out of the city. (NYT, 2023)
  • 3.5% of NYC businesses are owned by Black entrepreneurs. There is tremendous potential for more Black-owned businesses to start and grow. (2023)

But access to fair and equal opportunities is not promised. Many of us are still blocked from the opportunity for wealth creation by simply not knowing where to go!

With a great deal of room to succeed in New York City, I am committed to educating people daily on opportunities and resources.

If one person or family is empowered, they can also become wealth drivers in our community and for their families.

Let’s help one more family retain the assets handed down by their grandparents, help one more mother launch her dream business, or teach one more child about the value of credit and how it relates to their income.

I know that we all have to put our voices to good use, and I do this on a day-to-day basis! For more of what I do, please follow me on Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube as I share facts, resources, and educational content on commercial real estate, entrepreneurship, and women empowerment.
